Bored and Thin

It was hangover Saturday and I've got nothing else to do so I took pictures of myself again. Warning: VANITY OVERLOAD.

My vanity was so contagious that I got my dorm mate Rya in to this insanity. We took pictures of each other and here are the results. :D

It's just weird why I so love doing that with my hair. HAHA

This is Rya. Isn't she a natural beauty? Teehee! :D I love you Rya-bels!

I particularly love this one though that I posted this in LookBook.
The shirt used to fit me well. Now, it's so loose makes me feel sexier! Teehee!

What I like about this photo is that I look thinner! YAY! It has been my goal since the start of the semester. It feels so good to see an evidence that I progressed in this challenge.

Cheers!

Mind Benders Did It Again

I mentioned about the digital short film festival Cinemagis in a previous post. And last night was the awarding ceremony. I also mentioned that the short film that my friends over Mind Bender Films made got in and had 8 nominations. Well, I am happy to announce that "BF" won 7 out of 8 nominations. The short film won the following awards:
Best Short Film
Best Director
Best in Cinematography
Best Art Direction
Best Story
Best Actor
Best in Editing
It was really a tough competition. I love most of the films!

CONGRATULATIONS!

To Kuya Ryan for his genius in transforming words to moving images.
He really is a filmmaker to watch for in the near future.
Congratulations for the awards!
More mind bending!
To Ate Gene: Congratulations! Thank you for all your support!

To Dennis and Arfil for their never-ending love and support for the craft.
To Dennis, it is indeed a great story. It won Best Story even!
To Arfil: I saw how you placed much effort in this prod. I'm proud of you, Brit!

To my best friend Franz: Congratulations! You, Best Actor, you! Keep it up man!
To Jane: Thank you very much for supporting him all the way.
You guys stay strong. I'm looking forward for anniversaries!
To Fia: Congratulations! Thank you for making sure there's make-up! :D
To Sheila: Congratulations Sheila! You're still our Best Actress! I never thought you could act like that! Woot! You should act again!
To Yves: Congratulations! Thank you for being so positive all the time!
To Megan: Congratulations! Say thank you to your dad for us! Thank you for the cookies and pizza!
You bubbly ladies stay bubbly!
To the rest of the mind benders at the Mind Bender Films: Congratulations! Let's all give ourselves a pat on the back now. You guys did a great job. Thank you for continuously making us proud!

I am so proud of them. For the second time in history, they garnered a lot of awards. I don't want to consider myself as a major contribution to the group since I barely get to be with them when they shoot. It's either I have other things to attend to or I am back home in the province. Though my never-ending support to them shall remain.

I'm proud to have seen you work and grow. I'm proud to say that I have genius friends who can be nerdy but are cool and awesome that way. Stay awesome mind benders!

Dreaming of Paris

Ever since I knew all about Paris I've been dreaming of going there someday. As for now, since I can't go to Paris yet, I've been into things that is related to Paris. Trust me, my friends know all about this Parisian love except for their language. I just find it hard though I practically know a few terms.

So, anyway, I logged on to my Polyvore account and created sets of outfit that I would possibly wear in Paris. It looks amateur-ish but whatever. So here are my looks:

AsianVogue: Your One-Stop Shop for Shoes and Bags

For the past few days (and weeks) I've been talking and sharing about shoes. Last semester, my good classmate Lai shared about AsianVogue - an online shop for killer shoes and bags. I checked it out as soon as I possibly I can and I am deeply in love with their wide collections of shoes. I even bookmarked it!

I was planning to buy a pair from their fabulous collection but it might not arrive in time for the ball where I will be wearing them. I still am planning to buy some pairs from their shop but I still have a lot of saving to do.

Here are some of the shoes from their shop:

Check them out now! Click here for AsianVogue's classy site! Be amazed and fall in love with their wide collection. Plus, the owner is easy to communicate with. :) AsianVogue also has a page in Facebook! Click here.

This good shop also has an on-going shopping spree giveaway. For details, check out their Tumblr page.

Get your new kicks from this shop now! Spread the word! Cheers!

Girls Night Out

After fetching Janne at Divisoria, we went to LimKetKei Mall to meet Catherine who was about to go home to Tagoloan but ended up going out with us. We had a random stroll at the stalls and I showed them the shoes I wanted to buy for the literary ball next month. Catherine was so firm in her belief that red would be a power-amp color for my dress. Then we went to have dinner at Chowking.

Dinner was finished and the next thing we know, we're already at Punchbowl. We talked about a lot of things: from high school batchmates to our barkada to love life and then to life in general.

Then we had a sleepover and slept at two in the morning just talking about random stuff. And this is how we looked like the morning after. :)

It's really good to catch up with friends and talk about more mature things than what we used to tackle about in high school. We may not be the coolest back then but it doesn't matter. Keeping our friendship intact is our priority and we're cool that way.

Cheers!

"Productive" Afternoon

It's a Saturday afternoon and I have no class. I spent the whole morning doing exercise in preparation for the upcoming annual literary ball, and browsing through Tumblr posts. I felt that I have done nothing. So, I decided to go out of my room and find something productive to do.

I went to school to return the book I borrowed from the university library which was due today. It was a reference guide to screenwriting. I am in the process of converting this short play I made into a film.

Since I still had time, I browsed for other books that might interest me. I found these two design basics books. I got them off the shelf together with this magazine layout book and a book on night photography. I just browsed them. The magazine layout book was my first victim since I am preparing for the next issue of XELLO publication. There are a couple of good things in it. I immediately got ideas from them. I browsed the other books for the next hour. After having finished scanning and browsing them, I returned them to their shelves and left.

I went to get coffee at McDonald's since its so cold and I miss coffee! It's my first coffee in five days! After getting my coffee, I went home and read a book. I am currently reading "The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux. I love the coffee from McDonald's because it's brewed of course and it's delicious. They're using (according to their menu) this "coffea arabica" beans which is very tasty and the aroma is sensational!

Nothings beats coffee and a good book in this cold weather.

Since I am so feeling my outfit, I took a picture of it using the timer on my digital camera (yeah, that's the kind of loner I am). I checked out first if there are people coming my way before I finally posed for the camera. I posted it on Lookbook. Though the quality's crappy because I had no one else to take my photo, but whatev,  I like it anyway!

I won't ask whatever is on your mind because I know it's crappy. So I'll continue to read this book while waiting for my friend Janne who is currently in a seminar right now.

Cheers!
